Sexmind Update
Hello All! This is the original sexmind team speaking.
As some of you may have noticed, we have been on a long hiatus since we failed to fund our project fully on indiegogo. There are certain things that our followers should be aware of:
Due to the fact that we weren´t able to reach our minimum goal on indiegogo, we were forced to halt the development of Mcalc and the sexmind website itself to avoid the bankrupcy of the company. Even when most of our developers were eager to work into this project, they still need to get paid in order to be able to work on this, and they had already done enough pro-bono work for the release of the first versions of the app. Its the main reason why our blog and project hasn´t been updated for months (our social media manager had to quit to take care of her studies)
Unfortunately, finding a financial supporter for this project was a very hard task, we had several meetings with plenty of investors and none of them felt right, whether it was because they went against our company values or simply because they didn´t understand our motives ( Most of them suggested that we should aim for a more “broader audience” which was essentially a subtle way of saying they had no interest in listening to the transgender, asexual and queer community overall and wanted to turn the Mcalc app in your typical menstruation app )
However, we do have some good news. After a long search and months of failed meetings we finally found a great investor, and even thou most of the original team is gone, the intention remains the same (even bound by contract)
Starting today, this new investor will be taking over the blog and restarting the development of the app where it was left, this includes all that was promised on the indiegogo campaign and more, as well as a reboot of the entire site. All users who supported the app on its very beginning will still receive the new app for free.
They have an estimated release date for October-November this year, and they will be restarting the blog activity soon once the original team does the handover of all legal documents and information.
As the original team we would like to thank you for your support and insight, we hope this new team of developers can deliver a better app and keep supporting queer technology all over the web. Only a few of us will remain working with this new company and will make our best to keep the Sexmind values intact.

Thanks again for this wonderful experience and stay tuned for this new chapter in this little project´s life.
With love
The original Sexmind Team.
